Newborn Wesleyan CHURCH

Loving God Serving People

Worship Services 9a & 11:30a

NWC Kids is designed to meet the spiritual needs of children from age 3 through grade 8. Nursery is provided for infants through age 1. Through relevant teaching and fun, engaging activities, we seek to equip your kids to be little world-changers.

Carmelle Fils-Aime currently serves primarily as the Youth President and Director alongside other functions. Her prayer and hope are to build, develop, and equip the young people to be leaders for tomorrow in both the ministry of Newborn Wesleyan Church as well as their personal lives. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, spiritual formation, effective teaching of the Gospel, and setting a transparent yet creative atmosphere; she knows it will be achieved.

Mission Statement: Training Ground Youth Ministries is made up of nearly thirty members. The aim and vision of the youth ministry is to pursue a relationship with God through both knowledge and application of God's word. Furthermore, training ground ministries focus on maximizing the potential of each of its members for preparation for future leadership. Our core values are Fellowship, Creativity, Transparency, and Development.

NWC Couples is a fun, welcoming and supportive environment for couples of all ages and backgrounds. Gathering in fellowship gives us a greater sense of community with each other and allow us to grow in our relationship with Jesus.

The NWC Men’s Ministries has one goal and vision: to assist men around West ward community of Essex NJ with their walk with Christ. Our desire is to help men have the courage to explore and begin their walk with Christ, the strength to develop the lifestyle that enhances the discipleship patterns of Christ, and the endurance to live a victorious life that allows their family, friends, colleagues and the younger generations to find their fulfillment in Christ.

The men’s ministry has also a singing group, Flambeau Divin, that uses their voices to enhance their outreach ministries.

The Dorcas at NWC is to bring glory unto our Lord while evangelizing in the local community. We women realize we have freedom when we allow ourselves to be shaped by God. By reading His Word - the Bible - and spending time in prayer, our lives reflect the image of Christ. Come and journey with us as we seek to be all that God created us for! Join us for a Bible Study every Wednesday, at 9:30 AM at the church.

The ministry is led by Marie-Lourdes Alcime who also serves primarily as NWC women’s ministry director. Her hope is to ensure that the spirit of inclusion is always present; reminding everyone in both ministries that they are welcomed and matter in the Kingdom of God!

NWC Senior Adults ( ages 65 and over ) hosts several bus trips, luncheons and fun activities throughout the year to help seniors at NWC grow spiritually and in community. We also meet the spiritual and emotional needs of seniors from NWC who are homebound, hospitalized, and those living in nursing and assisted living homes.
